The same solar system does not mean the same thing everywhere.
Country and city solar research that adds local rules, market conditions, energy context and installer discovery instead of swapping place names.
Rules and tariffs can change. Market pages are date-aware and link to primary sources where possible.
Where Melnti is going deeper first.
Nigeria
Distributed solar, backup economics, tariff context and installer discovery.
Nigeria research →Lagos
Urban loads, commercial roofs, distributed-energy context and project preparation.
Lagos research →Indonesia
Rooftop-PV quotas, self-consumption, PLN context and local project economics.
Indonesia research →Jakarta
Urban roofs, daytime demand, high temperatures and applicable rooftop-solar rules.
Jakarta research →Local context can change the recommendation
A technically sound system can have very different economics in two markets because tariffs, outage patterns, export rules, approval processes, financing, climate and equipment support differ. Melnti location research is intended to capture those differences rather than repeat the same article with a different city name.
Current research hubs
- Africa — distributed energy, backup power, mini-grids and market-specific support.
- Nigeria — household backup, standalone solar, DARES and equipment/support questions.
- Lagos — dense urban rooftops, high-value loads, service territory and installer due diligence.
- Asia — rooftop solar and high-growth distributed-energy markets.
- Indonesia — the rooftop-PV quota framework, self-consumption and batteries under current rules.
- Jakarta — dense urban roofs, daytime consumption, building constraints and current utility procedures.
What belongs on a useful location page
Each detailed market page should identify the date of regulatory or tariff information, link to primary sources, explain the local grid or backup context, discuss equipment availability and support, and connect readers to relevant calculators and buying guides. Market pages should be updated when the underlying rules materially change.
What Melnti will not do
Melnti will not manufacture hundreds of thin city pages simply to capture search queries. A location page should contain enough specific, source-checked information to justify existing and should be removed or kept out of search if that standard cannot be met.
