New remuneration period begins in August 2026
Bundesnetzagentur lists the applicable EEG reference values for solar systems commissioned from 1 August 2026 through 31 January 2027. The published table distinguishes building-mounted systems by capacity and separates partial-feed-in from full-feed-in remuneration.
Project economics depend on configuration
A single German solar-payback number is therefore misleading. System size, commissioning date, self-consumption, full or partial feed-in, direct marketing and local electricity consumption can materially change the economics.
Melnti use
German location pages remain frozen/private in the current English-first launch strategy, but the policy evidence is worth preserving so future German pages can use period-correct tariff context instead of stale generic assumptions.
What buyers should compare
For a household or small business, the published remuneration should be considered alongside the retail electricity price avoided through self-consumption. Adding storage can shift more solar energy into evening use, but battery losses, usable capacity, warranty limits and installation cost still matter. Melnti should therefore show the applicable remuneration period as one input to a broader system-cost comparison rather than presenting the tariff as a stand-alone reason to add batteries.
