Melnti community ratings come from reviews submitted directly to Melnti. Third-party star ratings and review counts are not republished as Melnti ratings.
Email verification and anti-spam
A verified email is required before reviews, helpful votes and other public community contributions can be published. Promotional submissions, repeated links, backlink requests and suspicious review patterns can be held for moderation or rejected.
Contributor recognition does not buy sentiment
Contribution Score recognizes useful work such as substantive reviews, long-term updates, sourced corrections and other helpful evidence. A positive review never earns more simply because it is positive, and a negative review is not penalized because a brand dislikes it.
Trust labels have narrow meanings
Verified Owner means Melnti accepted evidence that the reviewer owned the relevant product at the time of verification. Verified Project means Melnti accepted evidence of a real project with the listed installer. Official Brand Representative and Official Installer Representative mean the account was verified as representing that organization; those badges are not product or workmanship endorsements.
Businesses can respond, not rewrite
Verified representatives may respond publicly to reviews and report content that they believe violates these guidelines. They cannot buy a better rating or delete a legitimate review simply because it is unfavorable.
Reversible status
Ownership, organization representation, partner status and other time-sensitive badges can expire or be revoked. Historical records may retain the fact that a status was valid at the time of a contribution without presenting it as current forever.
