How Melnti Researches Equipment and Product Visuals

Melnti separates product identity and technical verification from the image used to present a product. This page explains the standard so readers can understand what a product visual does—and does not—prove.

Product identity comes from evidence, not the picture

Melnti verifies the exact brand and model against current manufacturer or other authoritative product evidence before a catalogue item is treated as verified equipment. Technical specifications are recorded from those sources and should be checked again before purchase or installation.

Public product visuals are presentation assets

A product page may use a Melnti-created editorial product visual rather than the manufacturer’s marketing photograph. A visual helps readers recognize the equipment class and form factor, but it is not a dimensional drawing, compliance certificate or substitute for the official manual.

Manufacturer evidence remains separate

Melnti keeps the official product destination and source evidence with the research record. When a visual is created locally, the visual does not replace the manufacturer evidence used to verify identity, compatibility or specifications.

Accuracy comes before decoration

Melnti’s visual standard favors a clean product-only presentation, neutral background, sensible proportions and no invented badges, accessories, ports or performance claims. If a visual cannot be approved with sufficient confidence, the product should use a safe fallback rather than a misleading recreation.
