Australia updates approved PV, inverter and battery lists and opens battery bulk upload

Australia’s Clean Energy Regulator points participants to approved PV module, inverter and solar-battery lists applicable from 19 August 2026 and says battery STC bulk upload is available.

Current approved-product lists are part of certificate administration

The Clean Energy Regulator’s certificate guidance links to Clean Energy Council approved PV module, inverter and solar-battery lists stated as applicable from 19 August 2026. It also notes that REC Registry bulk upload for solar batteries is available.

Product approval and Melnti verification are different checks

Australian scheme eligibility can depend on approved-product status, but Melnti’s product gate still separately checks exact model identity, manufacturer evidence, technical compatibility and the project context. A product appearing on a program list is not automatically the right model for a specific roof, inverter or battery design.

Installers should preserve the exact model evidence used for the claim

For certificate-related work, model numbers and installation records should match the applicable approved list and registry requirements. Melnti records this update as a compliance reminder for Australian research and installer workflows; it does not import third-party endorsement or customer-rating data into Melnti reputation.
