Record the exact equipment identifiers
- Battery: BAT-05K48 and the proposed number of modules.
- Exact SolarEdge inverter model and hardware revision.
- Current inverter and battery firmware requirements.
- Backup Interface or other transfer equipment if outage backup is required.
Confirm the supported combination
Use current SolarEdge compatibility and installation documentation for the project region. Do not rely on the statement “SolarEdge works with SolarEdge” because module count, inverter family, firmware and backup topology can still have limits.
Check energy and power separately
The number of battery modules determines stored energy, but the inverter and battery system determine continuous and surge power. Make sure the quote shows which loads are backed up and the expected runtime assumptions.
Ask the installer to document commissioning
The handover should include equipment serials, firmware, monitoring access, operating mode, reserve settings and a test of backup behavior where backup is part of the design. Keep the final one-line diagram and commissioning records with the warranty documents.
